141 Chief Flight Instructor for Private Pilot, Instrument Pilot, Commercial Pilot, CFI Airplane courses. Lead Development of FAR Part 141 courses for college. Supervise 12-18 flight instructors, conduct stage checks direct and oversee all flight operations to include FAA 141 compliance for airplane program. Coordinate and direct day to day operations for aviation facility, professional pilot programs and aviation maintenance technician program. Responsible for airworthiness of flight school aircraft fleet consisting of 8 aircraft. Coordinate with maintenance contractor to ensure maximum availability of aircraft for the flight school and aircraft, with emphasis on maximizing safety and minimizing cost. Direct and oversee FAA 141, and 147 certifications compliance. Implement, direct and update policies and procedures in compliance with regulation and laws i.e., security and safety, equal opportunity, affirmative action including recruitment, retention, and placement of students in the programs. Direct and supervise Dispatch and Flight Operations personnel. Oversee with and collaborate with helicopter training contractor to ensure proper training outcomes and seamless experience for students enrolled in the helicopter track of the Professional Pilot Program. Collaborate with faculty, college administration and students to monitor program needs and concerns. Review, analyze and develop budget for the CAA. Monitor aircraft and other equipment for proper maintenance at appropriate intervals and engage with staff to improve productivity and student success due to issues such as weather conditions equipment maintenance and other scheduling conflicts. Develop workforce development contracts/agreements with business and industry partners and coordinate donations of equipment and supplies from industry such as aircrafts (airframes) engines and more, determine fees/pricing for work force development courses. Cultivate and maintain relationships with the advisory group, industry, K-12, community partners and government agencies.
Oversight of FAA 147 program oversee curriculum and ensure all cohorts are complying with curriculum and FAA requirements. Work with FAA and other regulators to revise programming and implement 141 and 147 revisions as needed to the programs. Negotiate contracts with service providers such as maintenance fuel and aircraft leases. Work with labor contracts and requirements for the mutual benefit of labor and management.
