I have been working in Head Start for nearly the last 10 years. 1 year as a home visitor and 8 3/4 years as a lead teacher. I supervise the assistant teacher and support staff/Para and foster grandma in my classroom along with the children. I maintain and healthy, fun, safe, and caring learning environment. I maintain daily and/or weekly communication with the families I serve and conduct home visits with the families in my classroom. I complete a vast array of objective observation on each child each quarter according to the TS Gold assessment system and complete 3 parent teacher conferences and 2 year home visits. I work with the staff in the school district to maintain a positive working relationship between the 2 programs.
