The email world is fast, in fact most of our measured tests and actually statistics show it takes just under 3 seconds for you to receive an email from MnWorks.Net.

If you didn't receive an email from MnWorks.Net with your temporary password and it's been about 5 minutes try using a different email address.

Example: If you're using the University of Minnesota's umn.edu address try using Gmail or Hotmail if after 60 seconds you do not see an email from us. The schools Spam filters are set very high and may block many domains and other email servers like MnWorks.Net.

If you can use Gmail or Hotmail to create your account and not the domain email address you would like then follow the following step.

1. Contact your IT department and have them put the domain name mnworks.net in their white-list.

If you have any other questions and it's email related please do not send your question using your the email you have currently using, most likely you'll never see a reply from MnWorks.Net if it's blocking the email server now.

Use Gmail or Hotmail as an alternet email address.


FAQ No. 21.16.2    

Sign in with your account email address.

Click on the "My Posts" or "My Account" links.

Look for the link "Cancel Account" located in the side menu column bottom part.

Click and follow the instructions.

It is really simple, the classic two links confirming your account cancellation..

FAQ No. 22.17.2    

The major cause of not being able to sign in is the fact you never received the temporary password from us.

  • Reason: Remote host said: 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable
  • Typing error with email
  • Bad domain or host

Any number of issues can prevent our email server from reaching yours.

Because our email servers have been hosted by us, managed by us and service by us since 1996 we can say "We know our stuff" when it comes to exchange services and email.

So when you send a note and you don't hear back from us, check the junk mail box, spam mail settings and your ISP filters from Greylisting to SPF validation. (We use them all as well without issues)

Some ISP and server administrators are new and often do not set custom rules.

MnWorks.Net is now 17 years and mail.mnworks.net has seen 4 different server hardware and software setups that have been tested by us and by you day in and day out 24/7.

Part of the duties of server management is to read every email that comes in.
Your email is very important and that is why everyone gets a reply email. Except the Spam and Junk mailers.

If you have questions about not getting your email send a note and list a secondary email address like Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail so at least we can reply.

(Those that run Greylists and have been contacted by me should learn to flag, whitelist, create rules and validate that your SPF tests are of standards.)

Example of email that is not going to make it.

Delivery for mnworks.net to xyz@someplace.com has completed (Bounced)

When a report shows "Bounced" and the cause is generic please do not use the same email to contact me about you not getting the email.

Use Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail to ask if your email was bounced.

The link is at the top of every page here at MnWorks.Net.
You must have an account with us to sign in.

 

 


FAQ No. 24.23.2    

When you select your job publication Expiration Date you should also look to see if you have enough Subscription days to cover your job posting. 

If you need additional publishing or candidate recruitment time you can add subscription time in increments of Weeks, Months and up to One Year prepaid. 

You can check your subscription days during your posting process under the "Subscription Information" link or from your profile "Settings" tab which will display the amount of subscription days you have remaining.

Your subscription entitles you to:

  • Unlimited job announcements.
  • Update and change job information at anytime.
  • Start and stop job hiring campaigns as often as you would like.
  • Download any number of candidate resumes online.
  • Contact any number of candidates by email, message or phone.
  • Company page with additional hiring information.

When you see "22 days remaining on the books." it means you have 22 days remaining on your subscription.

If that number matches the length of time your job hiring campaign will run then you're set. 

If not, you may need to add additional time. 

Be sure not to delay your posts by not having your subscription days match your required job publishing days. 

To make a payment you can access the payment links from your Profile > Settings > Payment Options tab or by following this this Subscription link. 


FAQ No. 25.338.2    

Some older browsers are not 100% HTML5 complaint and may not function or display this page or the whole website correctly.

IE 9 has limited support while IE 8, IE 6.5 are not supported.

If you have problems posting please update your browser.

If you are one of the unlucky ones that have to use IE 8 to do payroll or use some old application your company has then the best solution is to install Chrome.

If that is not an option please email me, I have more resources and solutions than most enterprise IT departments.

I'll be able to develop you and your company a good solution.

Please note that older browsers are serious security risks if you use them for any "Internet Connected" app.

Searching for jobs published by sponsors is straight forward.

Visit the jobs home page here and browse.

Or select a category that shows a number to the right indicating that their is a business member job post available.

You can also select a category and view some of the aggregate listed of jobs.

These are indexed jobs from other job sites and are not validated by MnWorks.Net but offer additional references for your job search.

Follow these simple steps from the Job Search menu.

  1. Click the job search link to view our list of business member offerings.
  2. Click a category to start your industry category keyword search.
  3. Add Keywords to filter your search. It's a Match All, Any Order search.
  4. Add your City to narrow the distance.

The process is designed on a typical job seeker searching 2 to 3 times per day.

It should not take you more than 5 minutes each visit.

You can increase your search by viewing or following the MnWorks.Net Twitter, Google + and Facebook streams.
This is primarily designed for hiring companies but jobs are posted as well.

You will often find nothing in your search results. This is because we do our best to remove any and all closed job postings.
Once a job has reached it's closing date the next view shuts the job details page down.

That really puts the hammer down on those sites that claim to have thousands and even millions of jobs when all you need is one.

Sign in, click on My Account or My Posts then select the tab View, Edit, Delete.
From that tab, select the post you would like to either view, edit or delete.
You can view all your work experience posts after you sign and search your member ID.
You will find your member id in your profile settings under settings.

From our site you will see a message above the Apply Online and Message Center box of the Job Details page. The message will either say, "You have not applied..." Or that you have applied. Check your message center for dates.

  1. Sign in / Logon
  2. Go to your Profile or Account Page.
  3. Click on "My Postings"
  4. Click the Post button.
  5. Complete all form fields.
  6. Submit the form.
  7. Verify that you see the 100% complete or click back and add missing information.
  8. Click the "My Posting" link then "View, Edit, Delete" button to make changes.
