6th & Broadway Clothing And Decor in Alexandria, MN is looking for a part-time assistant manager to join our strong

team. The position is for 20-36 hours per week. Our ideal candidate will be willing to increase and decrease hours

seasonally as well as work occasional weekends and holidays. More details on this will be shared during the

Assistant Manager Job Description

Philosophy of Position based on Store Vision and Mission

As an Assistant Manager, your leadership is instrumental in helping us achieve our vision of inspiring women to

recognize their beauty, strength, and value. This concept applies to the customer as well as all members of the 6th

& B team. As you help manage the store operations, your example and expectations, interpersonal communication

skills, ability to understand and emphasize others' roles and responsibilities, and respect for your team members will

be key in maintaining a store culture of productive and enjoyable work.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager of Store Operations to plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the store

Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and overseeing operational and personnel policies/procedures as

needed

Oversee the daily financial register operations and opening and closing cash accounts

Complete sales effectively and efficiently using Shopify software and the iPad register

Assist with employee training and mentoring to include cross training when applicable to help maintain productivity

with employee absences

Assist with coaching, monitoring and reinforcing skill development and help management to appraise employee

performance

Maintain high standards

Foster a positive work environment with a unified team approach

Recognize and encourage the personal strengths and talents of 6th & B team members

Update team members on your shift of business performance, new initiatives, strategies and other pertinent issues

Assist with developing strategies to improve customer service, drive sales and increase profitability

Maintain customer service that is personable and efficient creating a warm, welcoming, customer-focused shopping

experience

On the sales floor, interact with fellow employees and customers to identify any needs, hear any complaints and

resolve any issues during your assigned shift

Review merchandising activities and assist the General Manager and owner with clearance sales, product sales,

demands and reorders

Help implement special promotions, displays and events

Promote 6th & B locally by sharing sales initiatives and promotions through social media, as you feel comfortable

Monitor security systems and anti-theft measures to secure store merchandise during your shift

Provide a safe and clean store environment to protect employees and customers during your shift

Assist or take part in personal styling appointments as requested and recommended

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in the field of retail and women's fashion

At least 1 year of experience in the field of customer service

Familiarity with concepts, practices and procedures within the field of women's clothing retail and fashion

Embrace your leadership role as one that leads and directs the work of others with the intent to develop the skills of

individual team members creating a positive, respectful, supportive and enjoyable store culture

Desire and motivation to contribute personal strengths and talents to emphasize and achieve our 6th & B vision and

mission

Goal oriented with critical thinking and problem solving skills

Good understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service

Have knowledge of current women's fashion trends and dressing varying body types

Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to use Apple technology products including an iPad, a MacBook and Google software applications

Professional telephone and email etiquette

Ability to multitask while being attentive to customers and remain flexible to the needs of the business

Physical demands of this position include constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, pushing, walking up

and down stairs and standing for at least two consecutive hours and may also include occasional stooping, kneeling,

crouching, climbing ladders and carrying items 25 pounds or less

Available to work a variety of hours which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and some Federal

holidays.
