Bens Structural Fabrication is a leader in the steel industry and has been in business over 60 years in the St. Cloud area. We have openings in both our structural and miscellaneous departments. Experience in a fabrication/welding environment is a plus.
No Nights, no weekends, no travel Hours Mon-Thurs 6am-4:15pm, overtime possible on Friday's 6am-3pm.

Load and unload work area using overhead crane(s)
Read shop drawings to understand necessary production process and weld symbols
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety regulations and procedures
Layout fabrication assemblies and fit parts to them
Adhere to established quality standards
Complete welds indicated
Cut parts with oxy-fuel or plasma torch, grind parts or welds to create necessary weld preparation, weld cleanup, or other profile as required by the drawings.
Document the work performed
Set up and maintain equipment including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting issues
Manage needed consumables, including wire, gases, tips, and others to ensure that required tools are available and in proper shape to produce quality parts
Be able to pass a 3G unlimited thickness test plate Figure 4.16 in the AWS D.1.1
Knowledge of Structural Fabrication processes, organization of a fabrication shop, and related construction practices of other trades
Must have an enthusiasm for learning and growing as a part of our team
Ability to think creatively, and apply that thinking to solving problems and completing tasks
Be able to communicate clearly through written or verbal means
Comfortable with lifting large, awkward and heavy loads using cranes, magnets, or other shop equipment.
Must be able to work in a respectful and professional manner
Ability to read a tape measure
Must be able to work well both independently and as a team
