How to start your job search at MnWorks
To use this site effectively or when you have a question you should read our Help Column to the right which are page specific. We also have How To Guides in our training section.
MnWorks Member Employer postings are indicated by the numbers next to the category names. These are job posts made directly by our hiring members.
Because not all companies have 24/7 staff to post to every job board online today we use Indeed job spider services to search other jobs in your area. Using the search form fields near the top of our job search pages you can narrow or expand your search to suit your needs.
Searching is very similar to the Google Advanced Search. The Categories we have setup are based on HR departments feed back we asked for years ago. These keywords are used as your starting point only. You can remove our suggested keywords and enter your own from any category. Our matching is All Words which means the search results will need to have all the search words you have entered or it will not show.
When you start by selecting any category of interest and your state you'll see the results of the search in the middle column here.
The search results will display first any jobs offered by employers signed up on MnWorks then a larger search of other job posts which are very valid and we have removed duplicates and out of date postings from this section. At times you may find a closed posting which typically is a result of late posting of the job.

Finding it impossible to search for a job? Not happy with what we have done? Not sure how to use the search filters? Not finding the results you expected? Some of you have sent in questions about our search form and it's our guess others have questions.
