Independent Contractor, part-time position.
Serenity Mental Health Services is a mental health agency providing CTSS, ARMHS, and therapy services to the residents of McLeod County, and the surrounding areas. SMHS is seeking qualified licensed mental health professionals to work from our agency. This is a part-time independent contractor position in which services are provided in the client's home and/or our central office, depending on client's needs. The Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing culturally competent mental health services while working directly with clients, and maintaining a professional relationship with staff and other agencies involved in client's care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Provide mental health assessment and evaluation of clients
Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group therapeutic services
The provision of clinical services including conducting diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and discharge planning for clients of the agency
Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
Attending and participating in monthly case consultation, and other meetings as required by the agency
Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
Facilitate training on mental health-related issues as requested
Compliance with clinic documentation standards, set by DHS
Compliance with licensing board rules and Codes of Ethics
Maintain professionalism and open communication in all interactions with staff, clients, and other professionals involved in client's care
Adherence to directives by applicable direct clinical and administrative supervisors
Setting and maintaining work schedule.
Other duties as assigned
A master's or doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work from a regionally-accredited academic program.
Full, unrestricted licensure as a Mental Health Professional in Minnesota
Ability and willingness to service clients in-home, or in-office
The ability to competently and independently provide psychotherapy to families and children of all ages
An individual NPI
Flexibility to meet when clients are available to meet
Evidence of a high level of professionalism within the field
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Ability and willingness to provide services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families as assigned
Ability to respect diversity and integrate issues of culture into case conceptualizations
Ability to engage with clients who may be ambivalent about treatment
Ability to adapt interventions to clients' strengths, skills, and developmental levels
Ability to comply with clinic documentation standards and best professional practices
Completion of Masters degree course work and internships in a behavioral/social science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling) from an accredited college or university and current licensure in the state from the appropriate state licensing board in Minnesota.
Two years clinical experience working with adults, children, and adolescents with mental illness.
Professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.
